Before review begins
A cancellation requested before substantive review work begins may qualify for a refund, subject to non-recoverable payment, source, official or third-party costs and applicable law.
After review begins
Once review, source contact, assessment or document preparation has begun, any refund is assessed according to work already performed, committed external costs and mandatory consumer rights.
Non-refundable external costs
Official, notarial, apostille, translation and courier charges are generally non-refundable once committed to the external provider.
Outcome
An inconclusive, declined or discrepancy outcome does not by itself create a refund right because fees are paid for the review process rather than a positive decision.
