Practical guidance for applicants, institutions and decision-makers who need a clear, evidence-based verification process.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

International Use & Institutional Decisions<\/strong> concerns cross-border presentation of verified records while recognising that receiving authorities make their own decisions. Verification should describe what evidence was checked, what source supported the conclusion, what limitations remain and the date or context to which the result applies. A verification result is evidence for a decision-maker; it does not replace the legal authority, admissions office, employer, regulator, licensing board, ministry or other receiving institution that makes the final decision.<\/p>\n

Start with legible primary records<\/h2>\n

Prepare complete, readable copies of the relevant record rather than cropped screenshots. Names, dates, identifiers, issuing body and security features should be visible when applicable.<\/p>\n

Add supporting context<\/h2>\n

Where useful, include transcripts, membership records, employer letters, registry extracts, publication identifiers, company filings or authorised statements that help connect the claim to a source.<\/p>\n

Avoid unnecessary personal data<\/h2>\n

Only provide information necessary for the requested verification. Sensitive information that does not help establish the stated claim should not be added merely because it is available.<\/p>\n

Evidence and decision boundaries<\/h2>\n

EIFVS can document what was checked and what the available evidence supports. It cannot bind an external university, employer, regulator, ministry, court, licensing authority or other institution. If a specific destination requires a particular legalisation, apostille, equivalence assessment, translation, licensing step or direct institutional transmission, confirm that requirement with the receiving body.<\/p>\n
